Strangest thing to ever happen to you: I was on a flight home from National Championship and a random lady on an airplane starts chatting with me. I was feeling guilty leaving my kids and husband so much for curling and was going to be leaving again for World Championships. This lady says, “Do you know what you are doing to your family, leaving them for curling?” I was thinking oh great she is going to tell me what a bad Mom I was. She says, “You are teaching your kids to have goals in life and no matter if you're 8 or 80 you should still have goals and life and to keep pursuing them.
Inspirational Person/Moment: I have to say this summer (2009) there has been many inspirational moments. I have learned so much about each one of my teammates and how each them are so different and amazing. They have inspired me to relax & savor every moment on our quest for GOLD!
